Tern Storm Shield Gen 3

The Storm Shield is the year-round canopy in the Tern weather protection range. Unlike the Sun Shield and Rain Shield, it is a single integrated weatherproof shelter — designed to carry up to two children in or out of child seats, in everything from a London winter to a hot summer day.

A fibreglass tent pole structure holds the canopy shape even in gusty conditions, while the unzip-and-roll-up side panels let you switch to airy, shaded riding when the sun comes out. A ventilation panel keeps the inside comfortable on longer journeys, and reflective accents boost visibility in low light. The Storm Shield is part of the Clubhouse Fort — Tern’s full all-weather passenger compartment — which also includes the Storm Box.

Fits children up to 140 cm tall, with room for helmets. Installation requires the Clubhouse Gen 3 on the GSD Gen 3 and Quick Haul Long, or the Clubhouse+/Clubhouse Gen 3 on the GSD Gen 2. On some setups, it can also be installed with the Sidekick Joyride Bars Gen 3 and Captain's Chair Gen 2 combo — for riders approximately 170–190 cm tall. Compatible with the Tern GSD and Tern Quick Haul Long.
