Explore the Moustache e-bike range

Moustache is a French e-bike maker, founded in 2011 in the Vosges by two cycling enthusiasts who set out to build electric bikes and nothing else. More than a decade on, that’s still all they make — every model is electric, Bosch-powered, and designed and assembled at their own workshop in eastern France, spanning city, all-road and compact cargo bikes.

Designed for the way London rides

Moustache design their own frames, cockpits and suspension tuning rather than assembling off-the-shelf parts — including the Magic Grip Control setup on their full-suspension bikes. The result is a ride that stays composed over cobbles, broken tarmac and the potholes that come with city riding, whether you're carrying children or covering distance.

Moustache Bosch Performance Line CX motor detail

Every model is Bosch-powered

Every Moustache runs a Bosch motor on the Smart System, so you get app connectivity, navigation and built-in security across the range — from the light, natural SX motor on the gravel bike to the load-pulling Cargo Line on the longtail. On most models the battery lifts out for charging indoors.

It also means one familiar system to live with wherever you start in the range, backed by a two-year Bosch warranty on the motor and battery alongside Moustache’s five-year frame and fork cover.

City, all-road or cargo

For everyday city riding, the Lundi 27 keeps things upright and simple, while the Mardi 27 adds a suspension fork for rougher streets — with the full-suspension Mardi FS and design-led J ON when you want full-suspension comfort.

When the route leaves the road, the Xroad FS 6 is the cushioned all-rounder and the lighter Dimanche 29.2 leans towards gravel and distance. And when you’re carrying the family, the Lundi 20 Cargo 5 hauls two children and the shopping on a compact, easy-to-park longtail.

Frequently asked questions about Moustache

Which Moustache is right for me?

It depends on where you ride. For the city, the Lundi 27 is the relaxed, upright commuter and the Mardi 27 adds suspension for rougher streets, with the Mardi FS and J ON for full-suspension comfort. For mixed terrain, the Xroad FS 6 is the all-road all-rounder and the Dimanche 29.2 the light gravel bike. To carry the family, the Lundi 20 Cargo 5 is a compact longtail. Tell us your routes and we’ll help you choose.

What is the Bosch Smart System?

It’s Bosch’s connected e-bike platform, fitted across the Moustache range. You get a display, app connectivity and navigation through the eBike Flow app, plus eBike Lock, which stops the motor assisting until you unlock the bike from your phone or display. On most models the battery lifts out for charging indoors, and you can add Bosch’s ConnectModule for GPS tracking and a motion alarm.

Are Moustache bikes comfortable on London's rough roads?

That’s a particular strength. Moustache tune their own suspension — including the Magic Grip Control shock on their full-suspension bikes — so the ride stays composed over cobbles, broken tarmac and potholes. Even the rigid Lundi gets its comfort from an upright position, the Mardi adds a suspension fork, and the Mardi FS, J ON and Xroad go to full suspension.

Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?

No. Every Moustache we sell is a 25 km/h electric-assist bike (a pedelec), so it’s treated as a normal bicycle in the UK — no licence, road tax or compulsory insurance. We’d always recommend insuring a bike of this value, and we can recommend Laka if you’d like cover.

Can I get custom colours and specs?

Yes. You'll usually find the range to try in store, and we can order custom colours and specs to suit you. Lead times vary by model and build, so it's worth talking to us early — we'll give you a realistic timescale when you order.

Can I test ride one in London?

Yes, and we recommend it. We keep the Moustache range across our Camden, Notting Hill and Hackney shops — come and ride the models you're considering back-to-back. Every bike comes with a free first service at 500 km, and as a Bosch quality partner we set it up properly before you ride away.
