This policy explains how Flying Dutchman uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which explains what we do with personal information more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let the site remember things — what’s in your basket, that you’re signed in, which store you chose — and help us understand how the site is used so we can make it better. Some are essential; others we only use if you agree.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary. Always on, because the site can’t work without them. These remember your basket, keep you signed in, secure the checkout and route your Click & Collect choice. They’re set by Shopify, which runs our store, and can’t be switched off.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people find and use the site — which pages and bikes, and where things could be clearer — so we can improve it. These are only set if you agree.
Marketing. We use Google Ads to measure whether our advertising works and to show you relevant Flying Dutchman ads on other sites; this may set remarketing cookies. These are only set if you agree, and we don’t use advertising cookies beyond this.
Your choices
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept, reject, or choose which non-essential cookies to allow — and you can change your mind at any time. Rejecting non-essential cookies won’t stop you shopping; the essential ones still run. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though blocking the essential ones may stop parts of the site working.

We may update this policy as our tools or the law change; we’ll post any revised version here. Questions? Email enquiries@flyingdutchman.bike or write to Flying Dutchman Bikes Ltd, 188–192 Eversholt Street, London, NW1 1BJ.
