Made in Cologne in chromoly steel, the Muli is a genuine cargo bike that still fits a hallway, a bike rack and a London life. A cargo bike that folds away

The folding front basket is the whole idea. Pull the blue handle and it opens to carry around 90 to 100 litres or up to 70 kg; fold it back up and the bike is about 28 cm wide and only marginally longer than a normal bike. A Muli parks on a normal bike rack, fits through a doorway and goes on the train, then opens up for the school run or the shopping. The load sits low and central, so it handles far more like an ordinary bike than most cargo bikes do.

Made in Cologne, built to last

Muli builds its bikes in central Cologne, frame included, in chromoly steel — strong, comfortable over distance, and built to be repaired rather than replaced. The steel is protected from the inside against rust, cables are routed internally, and the frames are finished in powder coat. The Muli Motor was named Best Cargo Bike at Cyclingworld Europe 2025.

Big enough to carry, small enough to keep

Most cargo bikes ask for a shed, a wide hallway or a dedicated parking spot. The Muli is built for people who don’t have that — flats, terraced houses and tight storage — but who still need to move children, shopping or work gear without a car. It carries up to two children up front, takes a rear rack and accessories, and folds down small when you’re done. For families and everyday city journeys, it’s a cargo bike that fits the way London actually lives.
