The 12,000 mm waterproof rating and DWR-coated nylon handle everything from a school run drizzle to a proper downpour. Large roll-up windows give children a clear view, reflective accents add visibility in low light, and the whole thing folds down small enough to stash in a pannier when the sun comes back out.

One thing to know: the Rain Shield requires the Sun Shield for installation — it is an add-on, not a standalone canopy. If year-round all-weather protection is the priority, the Storm Shield Gen 3 may suit you better. Compatible with the Tern GSD (Gen 1, 2 and 3) and the Tern Quick Haul Long.
