Tern Nitelite Rear

The Nitelite Rear is a pair of red LED lights that mark the true width of your cargo bike. Mounted on the rear-facing bar ends of the Captain's Chair or Clubhouse.

Three modes cover most riding: constant runs for 2.5 hours, pulse for 7, and flash for up to 13. Constant mode is worth using in traffic, as a steady light helps drivers judge your distance more accurately than a flashing one.

The housing is aluminium with an IPX4 water resistance rating, so the lights are made for riding through a London winter rather than being packed away in October. Charging is by USB — no disposable batteries — and each light switches on and cycles modes with a press of the lens.

Fits the rear-facing bar ends of the Captain's Chair and Clubhouse carriers. Note that the bike's vertical parking isn't supported while the rear lights are fitted, so unclip them before parking upright.
