Tern Sun Shield Mini

The Sun Shield Mini is the one-passenger version of Tern's Sun Shield — a canopy that shades a child riding on the back of the Tern HSD or Quick Haul, while still letting air move through. On a still day in traffic that airflow matters more than it sounds.

The Mini is built around UPF 50-rated fabric, with roll-up side panels for ventilation and access, aluminium poles with shock cords for a compact fold, and reflective printing for darker evenings — and at 1.1 kg it adds little to the bike. There is room under the canopy for a child seat and a helmet. Pair it with the Rain Shield Mini, which snaps on over the top when the weather turns — between them they cover most of what a British summer manages in an afternoon.
