Moustache Mardi step-through electric bike for city riding Moustache Mardi upright e-bike for city commuting

Moustache Mardi 27

The Mardi 27 is Moustache’s comfort commuter — its answer to the rough side of city riding. Where the Lundi keeps things classically upright and rigid, the Mardi adds a suspension fork and wider tyres to take the sting out of cobbles, kerbs and broken tarmac, with an adjustable stem so you can set the bars exactly where you want them. It’s a low, open frame you step straight onto, powered by Bosch throughout.

It comes as one bike in four builds: the chain-or-belt 27.2, the hub-and-belt 27.4, the full-suspension 27.4 FS, and the stepless, automatic-capable 27.6. Designed in France, and built for the way London actually rides.

Frequently asked questions

Which Mardi 27 should I choose?

The 27.2 is the gentle way in, with a choice of chain or belt. The 27.4 pairs a hub gear with a low-maintenance belt for everyday ease. The 27.4 FS adds full suspension for the most cushioned ride, and the 27.6 uses an Enviolo stepless hub — automatic-capable — so you never think about gears. Come and ride them; the differences are easier to feel than to read.

What’s the difference between the Lundi and the Mardi?

Both are upright, step-through city bikes. The Lundi is classically rigid and gets its comfort from the riding position; the Mardi adds a suspension fork and wider tyres for rougher streets, plus an adjustable stem. If your routes are smooth the Lundi is lovely; if they’re broken and bumpy, the Mardi shines.

Does any Mardi have full suspension?

Yes — the 27.4 FS adds a rear shock to the front fork for full front-and-rear suspension, the most comfortable bike in the range over London’s worst surfaces.
