The Mardi is Moustache’s comfort commuter, and the 27.6 is the top of the range — the one that does the thinking for you. It has the full comfort setup: a suspension fork, suspension seatpost and adjustable stem, a Bosch 75 Nm Performance Line motor, and a Gates carbon belt. But its defining feature is the Enviolo Automatiq hub, which shifts gears automatically as you ride — no levers, no clicking, just the right gear, always.

There are no gears to choose and nothing to learn — you simply pedal, and the bike sorts the rest.

Around that sits the full Mardi comfort package: a front suspension fork and suspension seatpost to smooth the rough stuff, wide Super Moto-X tyres, an adjustable stem and a low step-through frame you get on and off in one easy movement. Built for everyday London

The frame is Moustache’s hydroformed 6061 alloy with the Bosch PowerTube 625 Wh battery set low in the down tube. The Bosch Performance Line motor (75 Nm) runs the Smart System — eBike Flow app, adjustable assistance, on-screen navigation via the Purion 200 display. A SR Suntour Mobie 25 fork with 100 mm of travel and a 40 mm suspension seatpost handle comfort, with an Essenza+ saddle on top.

Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes do the stopping, integrated AXA lights run off the main battery, and Moustache’s tubular mudguards, a MIK HD / QL3 rear rack and an AXA Block XXL frame lock come as standard. The drivetrain is an Enviolo Automatiq stepless hub paired with a Gates carbon belt.

Which Mardi is right for you?

The Mardi comes in three trims on the comfort frame, with a full-suspension option too. The 27.2 is the way in, with a hub gear and a choice of chain or belt; the 27.4 settles on a low-maintenance belt with the same hub gear. The 27.6 here goes furthest, swapping manual shifting for the automatic Enviolo hub — the most relaxed of the three. And the 27.4 FS adds a rear shock for genuinely rough roads. The Enviolo Automatiq hub shifts for you. It’s a stepless hub — no fixed gears — that continuously adjusts to your speed and effort to keep you at a comfortable pedalling cadence. There are no levers or buttons to touch; you simply pedal and the hub does the rest, smoothly and silently. You can set your preferred cadence in the Bosch eBike Flow app if you like, but most riders just leave it to get on with it.
