Tern Transporteur Rack

The Transporteur Rack is the larger of Tern's two front rack options — a frame-mounted platform built around a 300 x 400 mm inner space that fits a standard Eurocrate, a wooden box, or a 20-pack of beers if you are committing to the weekend properly. Maximum load is 20 kg.

Because the rack mounts to the Combo Mount on the bike's head tube rather than to the handlebars, the steering stays light and the bike handles predictably even when the rack is fully loaded. You can carry a child on the back and a substantial cargo load up front without the bike feeling unwieldy — which is the point of a proper front rack on a cargo bike.

Two rear-facing bottle mounts handle water bottles, coffee mugs or a folding bike lock. The rack pairs naturally with the WeatherTop Bag and WeatherTop Cooler — both designed to clip in securely without bungee cords. For frequent rack-off use, the Quick Release CMT lets you remove and reinstall the rack in seconds without tools.
