The Family Kit with weather protection built in — for families who ride through the winter rather than around it.

Everything from the Family Kit is here: cushion, backrest, outer bar and inner grab bar, approved for two children aged one to seven up to 50kg between them. What it adds is a cover in two halves, and the halves behave differently. The lower section fastens on with a Velcro strip and stays where it is, shielding legs from spray and cold; with nobody on board it leaves around 130 litres of covered space for shopping and kit. The upper section screws to the outer bars and folds right forward, so children can climb in and out without fighting it, and it lies flat on the bar when it is not wanted.

Tinted panels let passengers see where they are going, and the sides and rear roll up when the weather softens. A tarpaulin is included as an alternative to the upper section, for days spent carrying cargo rather than children. R&M build the whole thing without fibreglass rods or PVC film.
