The Load5 60 is the more compact version of R&M's flagship front-loading cargo bike — a 60cm wide box, full Control Technology suspension, Bosch Gen 5 Cargo Line motor up to 100Nm, integrated braking system and Enviolo or Shimano gearing options — with the same exceptionally low centre of gravity and full-size ride feel as the Load5 75. For families who do not need the extra width of the 75cm box, or anyone who needs a serious daily cargo bike in a more maneuverable footprint, the Load5 60 makes a strong case.

Who it's for

The Load5 60 is for families carrying up to two children who want the full capability of the Load5 platform — the suspension, the motor, the build quality, the range — in a narrower footprint. The 60cm box is more maneuverable in traffic and easier to navigate through tighter gaps than the 75cm version. It is also a genuinely comfortable daily commuter: the low centre of gravity, full suspension and Bosch performance make it a bike you enjoy riding with or without a load on board.

Build & technology

The Load5 60 and Load5 75 share the same frame, suspension system and motor options — the defining difference is the box width. At 60cm wide, the Load5 60 is narrower and more maneuverable while still carrying two children with the right child seat configuration. Full Control Technology suspension — front fork and rear swingarm — keeps it composed on London roads at any load. The Bosch Gen 5 Cargo Line motor reaches 100Nm. The integrated braking system distributes braking force front and rear, and the standard dropper seatpost makes mounting a loaded bike safer and easier. DualBattery up to 1600Wh and High Speed variants are available. The optional Performance Package adds individually adjustable air suspension for longer daily distances. The integrated RX Chip is fitted as standard, adding GPS tracking and a digital alarm with a year of ConnectRide included.
