Kattfix Battery Lock — Riese & Müller Multicharger2

£169.00 GBP

Made to order in Münster, Germany, the Kattfix is laser-cut from hardened stainless steel around an ABUS locking core, and anchors the battery housing to the frame — once closed, the lock cannot be shifted. You can still remove the battery as normal to charge it. This one is made for the Riese & Müller Multicharger2.

Key specifications
  • Hardened stainless steel with an ABUS locking core, made in Münster, Germany
  • Lightweight — around 268g
  • Fitted with included adhesive strips; cannot be shifted once locked
  • The battery can still be removed as normal for charging
  • Slim 100mm profile; neoprene and foam-rubber linings protect battery and frame
  • Two keys included; repairable, recyclable construction
Compatibility

Made for the Riese & Müller Multicharger2 with the 750 Wh battery. The earlier Multicharger takes a different version, so the model name on the frame matters.

Tell us your bike and battery and we will confirm the right lock before your appointment.

What's included

Kattfix lock made for this frame, with its adhesive strips included and two keys. A hidden compartment for an Apple AirTag is available on request.

Security rating

No Sold Secure rating — this is a deterrent layer for the battery itself, working alongside your main lock rather than replacing it. Your bike still needs a Sold Secure rated lock; the Kattfix protects the component a frame lock leaves exposed.

Worth knowing: some insurers now surcharge or exclude e-bike batteries from cover, which is exactly the gap a battery lock closes.
