Who it’s for

The Multi Lungo is the one to choose when you’re regularly carrying two or three children, or larger loads, and want the room to do it without moving up to a full-size box bike. A longer 77 cm rack and a smaller 20-inch rear wheel make space for up to three children on the back — with room for two child seats — while keeping the load low and the bike stable. At 186 cm it’s only a little longer than the Multi, so it still parks and rides like a normal bike.

If you mostly carry one child, or want the shortest bike to live with, the Multi is the compact midtail version; if you want the same carrying frame without a motor, see the Multi Power. The Lungo is the one built to carry the most — the family longtail of the range.

Build & technology

Every Multi Lungo is built on a powder-coated chromoly steel frame with a fixed rear rack, designed and assembled in Italy. The electric version comes with a choice of two motor systems: Bosch Cargo Line with the Smart System, a 545 Wh PowerPack, Purion 200 display and Bosch Flow app connectivity; or Shimano EP6 with a 418 or 504 Wh battery and the Shimano Steps SC-E5000A display. Both are mid-motors, centrally positioned for balance under load and assisted to 25 km/h.

Gearing is configurable — Shimano Nexus 5E, stepless Enviolo HD or AutomatiQ, or a 3×3 system on the Bosch; Nexus 5E or Nexus 5 Di2 on the Shimano — and you can specify a conventional chain or a Gates Carbon Drive belt. The belt runs cleaner and needs no oiling; the chain keeps the cost down. Hydraulic disc brakes give confident stopping with a loaded bike.

The longtail layout is what sets it apart: a 24″ front wheel and a 20″ rear wheel drop the load lower and free up a 77 cm rack with MIK HD mounting for heavier loads and seats that clip on and off in seconds. Schwalbe Pick-Up tyres, a 33 cm heavy cargo kickstand and a total length of 186 cm round it out, with a 200 kg maximum load including the rider and a lifetime frame warranty. It comes in Veloe’s standard colour range or any custom RAL shade.
