Veloe Multi

The Veloe Multi is the compact, Italian-made electric cargo bike for everyday family life. It's a midtail — barely longer than an ordinary bike, easy to park and easy to ride — yet it carries up to two children on the rear (three with a front seat), the weekly shop, or a load of work kit, up to a 200 kg maximum. Made near Milan, it's built to order around your choice of Bosch or Shimano motor, gearing, transmission and colour, so you get a bike that suits how you ride.

Who it's for

The Multi suits families and individuals who want cargo capability without committing to a full-size cargo bike. If your days mean a nursery drop-off, the school run, the supermarket and a bit of work-related hauling — and you'd rather not give up a normal bike's footprint to do it — this is the model. It's short enough to live in a hallway, light enough at 26 kg to handle confidently, and stable enough on its 33 cm heavy cargo kickstand to load children while it stands on its own.

It's also the choice if you want a cargo bike that doubles as a normal one: the Multi looks and rides like a regular bicycle, so it works as well for a solo commute as for the school run. Build & technology

Every Multi is built on a powder-coated chromoly steel frame with a fixed rear rack, designed and assembled in Italy. The electric Multi comes with a choice of two motor systems: Bosch Cargo Line with the Smart System, a 545 Wh PowerPack, Purion 200 display and Bosch Flow app connectivity; or Shimano EP6 with a 418 or 504 Wh battery and the Shimano Steps SC-E5000A display. Both are mid-motors, centrally positioned for balance under load and assisted to 25 km/h.

Gearing is configurable — Shimano Nexus 5E, stepless Enviolo HD or AutomatiQ, or a 3×3 system on the Bosch; Nexus 5E or Nexus 5 Di2 on the Shimano — and you can specify a conventional chain or a Gates Carbon Drive belt. The belt runs cleaner and needs no oiling; the chain keeps the cost down. Hydraulic disc brakes give confident stopping with a loaded bike.

The rest is set up for carrying: 24″ wheels on double-wall MACH1 rims with Schwalbe Pick-Up tyres, a 67 cm rear rack, and the MIK system so seats, baskets and racks clip on and off in seconds — quick to switch between the school run, the shop and a cargo setup. Total length is 180 cm, maximum load is 200 kg including the rider, and every frame carries a lifetime warranty. It comes in Veloe's standard colour range or any custom RAL shade.
