The Homage5 is the rare bike that combines three things at once: full suspension, a genuine low step-through frame, and serious long-distance capability. It pairs 120mm of front and 110mm of rear Control Technology with a multi-drive frame that takes the Bosch Performance Line CX or the sealed Pinion MGU — all in a frame you step through rather than swing a leg over. For people who want the composure and reach of a performance e-bike without a high-top tube, nothing else in the R&M range does quite what the Homage5 does. Build & technology

The Homage5 runs Control Technology with 120mm front and 110mm rear travel (Fox AWL 34 fork, Fox Float Rhythm shock) and a co-sprung rear carrier that stays settled with luggage aboard. The multi-drive frame takes the Bosch Performance Line CX — Gen 5, Smart System, up to 100Nm of torque — with an 800Wh battery extendable to 1,050Wh via the Bosch PowerMore, or the Pinion MGU E1.12 with its sealed 12-speed gearbox. Drivetrain options run Touring, Vario (Enviolo, Gates belt), Rohloff E-14 and Pinion, with High Speed versions where permitted. The suspended rear carrier is MIK-compatible and rated to 27kg, so baskets and panniers all clip straight in. A dropper seatpost makes mounting easier still, an optional Comfort Kit gives an even more upright position, and a Supernova M99 headlight with brake light covers night riding. Optional Bosch eBike ABS (Bosch drives) and the integrated RX Chip with GPS and digital alarm complete the package, the first year of ConnectRide included.

FAQs

Most step-through e-bikes are comfort city bikes. The Homage5 is a full-suspension, long-range bike that happens to have a low step-through frame — so you get the easy access of a city bike with the composure, range and capability of R&M's performance range. There is very little else on the market that combines the two so completely. A test ride makes the difference obvious.

They share the frame platform, suspension and motor options. The Delite5 has a conventional diamond frame; the Homage5 has a low step-through frame for easier mounting and dismounting and a more upright riding position. If you want the most accessible frame and an upright posture, the Homage5. If you prefer a sportier diamond frame, the Delite5. Everything underneath is the same.

The suspended rear carrier is rated to 27kg and is MIK-compatible, so R&M baskets, panniers and a compatible child seat clip directly in.
