Made to order in Münster, Germany, the Kattfix is laser-cut from hardened stainless steel around an ABUS locking core, and secures the battery to the frame while leaving normal battery removal available to you, so charging carries on as usual. The Tern version is built differently from the rest of the range: it clamps between frame and battery rather than fixing to the frame. This one is made for the Tern GSD.

Made for the Tern GSD, in versions matched to the generation — Gen 2 (up to 2024) or Gen 3 (2025 onwards) — the battery position, top or bottom, and the battery fitted, including the 545 Wh and 800 Wh smart batteries and the 400/500 Wh PowerPack. We confirm all three and order the correct one.

Kattfix lock made for your GSD's configuration, with two keys. A hidden compartment for an Apple AirTag is available on request.

No Sold Secure rating — this is a deterrent layer for the battery itself, working alongside your main lock rather than replacing it. Your bike still needs a Sold Secure rated lock; the Kattfix protects the component a frame lock leaves exposed.

Worth knowing: some insurers now surcharge or exclude e-bike batteries from cover, which is exactly the gap a battery lock closes.
