The DXXL is the DX D lock and the XL chain bought together, which is the pairing most people arrive at anyway once they have tried to get a D lock around a cargo frame and a stand at the same time.

The XL chain is 14mm hardened steel with a loop-end design and 100cm of locking length — thread one end through the other, pull it tight, and close the loop with the D lock. The DX brings a 14mm hardened shackle, anti-rotation double locking tabs and an anti-pick cylinder. Both carry a Sold Secure Pedal Cycle Diamond and Powered Cycle Gold rating.

Suitable for bicycles, e-bikes and motorbikes.

Sold Secure is the UK testing house, owned by the Master Locksmiths Association. Many UK cycle insurers require Gold or above — worth checking your policy.
