Hiplok AX1000 Wall & Ground Anchor

The AX1000 takes the composite from the D1000 and puts it into an anchor with reach. A 180° pivoting arm brings the locking point out to the bike, and a 360° rotating base lets you approach from any angle — which on a cargo bike, where you cannot simply lift the back end round, is the difference between locking up in five seconds and not bothering.

Hiplok's own testing gives a sense of the material: with a battery grinder and five discs, cutting one side took over eight minutes, and two cuts are needed to release the lock. It fits a concrete or masonry wall or floor, inside or out, and pairs with the D1000 or DX1000 — which for most setups removes the need for a chain at home altogether.

Bikes and e-bikes can also be secured vertically with a Hiplok JAW+, bought separately. Note that the ball bearings must be fitted for the anchor to reach its rated security, and once fitted the anchor cannot be moved — worth settling the position first.
