Gazelle Bloom C7

The Gazelle Bloom C7 is a Dutch family electric bike built for carrying children and cargo around the city. It has a front and rear carrier, a super-low step-through frame and extra room for a child seat, on a stable oversized aluminium frame with a Shimano mid-motor and simple 7-speed hub gears. Built by Royal Dutch Gazelle and sold at Flying Dutchman in London.

Built for the family school run

The Bloom is Gazelle’s family e-bike, made to carry children and the day’s bits and pieces without a car. A super-low, roomy step-through frame lets you get on and off easily even with a child seat fitted, there’s extra space between the saddle and handlebars to mount one comfortably, and the oversized aluminium frame stays stable and planted when the bike is loaded. A centred double kickstand holds it upright and steady while you lift children in and out at the kerb.

Shimano power, carry-everything kit

A Shimano EP5 mid-motor gives smooth, quiet assistance up to 25 km/h, with a choice of 418, 504 or 630 Wh battery for shorter or longer days and a clear Shimano display at the bars. Gears are a simple, low-maintenance Shimano 7-speed hub with an enclosed chain. Both the rear and front carriers use Gazelle’s MIK quick-fit system, so child seats, baskets and bags click on and off in seconds — and balloon Schwalbe Big Apple tyres, full lights, mudguards, a frame lock and hydraulic disc brakes come as standard, ready for London weather and London roads.

At Flying Dutchman

The Bloom comes in four sizes, S to XL, and we’ll fit it to you and set up any child seats or carriers before you collect it. You can book a test ride at one of our London shops, and every electric bike we sell includes a free first service at 500 km. It’s eligible for Cycle to Work, which can spread the cost — ask us and we’ll confirm how it works with your employer’s scheme. If your family outgrows it, the Cabby longtail carries more; you can also see the full Gazelle range.

FAQs

How many children can you carry on the Gazelle Bloom?

The Bloom is built to carry children front and rear: it takes a child seat on the rear MIK HD carrier and a seat or accessories on the front MIK carrier, with extra space between the saddle and bars to fit one comfortably. We’ll help you set up the right combination of seats and carriers for your family.

What is the difference between the Bloom C7 and the Bloom C310?

Both are the same family bike, with the same Shimano motor and carriers. The C7 has a simple Shimano 7-speed hub gear, which keeps things straightforward and lower in cost; the Bloom C310 has a stepless Enviolo hub you can change at any time, even while stopped — smoother and easier in stop-start traffic.

Is the Gazelle Bloom good for hills?

The Shimano EP5 mid-motor gives steady, natural assistance up to 25 km/h and handles the gentle hills of most city riding comfortably, including with children aboard. For consistently steep or long climbs, we can talk through which Gazelle suits best.

Is the Gazelle Bloom available on Cycle to Work?

Yes, depending on your employer and scheme provider. Contact us before ordering and we’ll confirm the best way to arrange it.
