Who is the Tern HSD P10 best for?

The P10 is the right starting point if you want a practical compact electric family bike without paying for the more advanced drivetrain options in the range.

It suits riders who need one bike for school runs, nursery drop-offs, commuting, shopping and everyday errands. With the right passenger accessories, it can carry one child or one adult passenger within the bike's load limits, while still feeling more compact and easier to live with than a larger cargo bike.

Choose the P10 if you want Bosch Performance Line support, 80 kg rear rack capacity and the HSD’s compact format — without belt drive, hub gearing or the cost of higher-spec models.

Drivetrain and riding feel

The HSD P10 uses Shimano Deore 10-speed derailleur gearing, which feels familiar to anyone used to a conventional bike drivetrain. It keeps the bike simple, direct and more accessible in price.

Compared with the P5i or S00, the P10 will need more regular chain and derailleur maintenance — but it also keeps the setup uncomplicated. If you want the HSD’s carrying ability in its simplest form, this is it.
