The UBN Five is R&M's take on the light urban bike: a clean frame built around the quiet, lightweight Fazua Ride 60 drive, designed to ride like a bicycle first and an e-bike second.

At a glance

Three UBN Fives, all in frame size 51cm — two in selva green and one in black, prepared and checked by our mechanics. Each runs the quiet, lightweight Fazua Ride 60 drive and comes fitted for daily riding: lights, mudguards, a pannier holder and disc brakes.

Who it’s for

The UBN Five suits riders who want the lightest, most natural-feeling way into an e-bike: a city bike that accelerates quietly and handles like an unassisted bike. It is made for riding every day in ordinary clothes — mudguards keep the weather off, the lights are fitted rather than clipped on, and the pannier holder takes your bags. At 51cm, R&M sized this frame for riders roughly 1.65–1.80m, and all of our bikes are that size.

Build & technology

The UBN Five is built around the Fazua Ride 60 drive — compact, quiet and lightweight — in a clean-lined frame that looks closer to an unassisted bike than most e-bikes. The practical equipment is already on it: Tektro TRP disc brakes keep the stopping consistent, Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tyres handle London tarmac, and Supernova and Busch & Müller lighting, mudguards, a kickstand and a pannier holder are part of R&M's specification.
