The Roadster4 is R&M’s sporty city commuter — a clean, performance-focused bike with Bosch Performance Line CX (85Nm), Suntour front suspension fork, Magura MT hydraulic disc brakes, 625Wh integrated battery, and Enviolo hub with Gates belt drive on the Vario. It is quick and well-specified, built for anyone who wants an e-bike that keeps pace with them rather than one they must manage.

The Roadster4 is for the committed urban commuter who values performance and a clean aesthetic over carrying capacity. It is for the person who covers real distance to work and wants a bike that responds quickly and looks the part as well as performs. The Vario version — Enviolo continuously variable hub with Gates carbon belt drive — suits the stop-start rhythm of London riding well: smoother shifting, quieter, and virtually no mechanical maintenance.

Build & technology

The Bosch Performance Line CX delivers 85Nm of torque — capable on London’s hills and decisive into headwinds. A Suntour front suspension fork takes the edge off the roads without adding the weight of full suspension. Magura MT hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable, modulated stopping in all conditions. The 625Wh integrated battery sits flush within the frame, keeping the Roadster4’s lines clean without compromising capacity. Available in Touring (Shimano 11-speed derailleur) and Vario (Enviolo continuously variable hub, Gates carbon belt drive) variants. Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tyres, Supernova lighting. Also available as the Roadster4 Mixte — identical specification in a step-through frame with the same performance.

The Touring has a Shimano 11-speed derailleur — traditional gear shifting, lighter weight, lower starting point. The Vario has an Enviolo continuously variable hub and Gates carbon belt drive — no derailleur, stepless shifting, virtually no mechanical maintenance and a longer service interval. For daily commuting in London, the Vario is the one most of our customers choose and the one we tend to recommend.

Yes — same motor, battery, brakes and specification in a step-through frame. The performance is identical. The Mixte suits anyone who prefers easier mounting and dismounting, or two adults of different heights sharing the same bike.

A rear rack can be fitted, and it works well with panniers if you want to carry kit without a bag on your back.
