The Roadster Mixte is R&M's quick city all-rounder: the full-power Bosch Performance Line CX drive with a 625 Wh battery in the frame, stepless Enviolo gearing and a belt drive, on a Mixte frame that is easy to step across. Ours served as our demo bike and has covered very little mileage — it is in as-new condition and comes with a full pre-delivery inspection by our mechanics before it leaves the store.

At a glance

One Roadster Mixte vario in crystal white, frame size Mixte 45cm — sized by R&M for riders roughly 1.60–1.75m. It is well equipped: the rear carrier, the comfort kit (curved handlebar, suspension seatpost and Ergon grips) and the ABUS frame lock with chain lock and bag were all optioned when we ordered it. It runs the Bosch Performance Line CX drive with a 625 Wh battery, shifts through the stepless Enviolo hub and drives through a belt rather than an oiled chain. It served as our demo bike with very little mileage and is in as-new condition — before handover it receives a full pre-delivery inspection and service by our mechanics, exactly as a brand-new bike would.

Who it’s for

The Roadster Mixte suits riders who want one bike that does the whole week: the Bosch Performance Line CX is R&M's full-power motor, so hills and headwinds stop mattering, while the stepless Enviolo hub and belt drive keep maintenance to a minimum. The comfort kit fitted to this bike — curved handlebar, suspension seatpost and Ergon grips — sets it up for a relaxed, upright position, the suspension fork takes the edge off rough tarmac, and the Mixte frame is easy to step across in ordinary clothes.

Build & technology

The bike is built around the Bosch Performance Line CX (Gen4) drive with a 625 Wh PowerTube battery integrated in the frame and the Purion display. Gearing is the stepless Enviolo 380 hub with a Gates belt drive, braking is by Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes, and Supernova and Busch & Müller lighting, SKS mudguards, a kickstand, the rear carrier and the ABUS frame lock with chain lock are all fitted. The build is exactly as delivered by Riese & Müller, and the specification below describes this exact bike.

The Bosch Performance Line CX pulls strongly away from the lights and up hills, the stepless Enviolo hub means there are no gears to think about — just turn the grip, even at a standstill — and the comfort kit sets the bike up for a relaxed, upright position.
