The Charger5 Mixte is the Charger5 with a lowered top tube — the same thoroughly redesigned frame, the same multi-drive platform accepting Bosch CX, PX, Speed and Pinion MGU E1.12, and the same year-round commuter capability, in a frame that is easier to mount and dismount. Available in three frame sizes — 45, 49 and 53cm — covering a wide range of heights. If the Charger5 is the benchmark London commuter, the Mixte is the same benchmark for those who prefer a lower frame.

The Charger5 Mixte suits anyone who wants the full Charger5 specification and performance in a frame that is easier to get on and off — whether for clothing, preference, or sharing the bike between two adults of different heights. It is also the natural choice for anyone returning to daily cycling who wants a confident, capable commuter without the high-top tube of a traditional diamond frame. The Pinion MGU version suits those who want to remove mechanical maintenance from the equation entirely. The Vario — Enviolo hub with Gates carbon belt drive — suits the stop-start rhythm of London commuting particularly well.

Build & technology

The Charger5 Mixte shares the same multi-drive motor interface as the standard Charger5 — Bosch Performance Line CX (85Nm), PX (90Nm), Speed and Pinion MGU E1.12 are all available within the same frame platform. The 800Wh battery is extendable to 1050Wh with the 250Wh PowerMore range extender. The suspension fork and suspension seatpost absorb road vibration efficiently. Supernova lighting with main beam and dipped beam, rear brake light, frame lock and integrated RX Chip for GPS tracking are all standard. Magura MT hydraulic disc brakes with optional Bosch eBike ABS. Available in Touring, Vario, Automatic, Rohloff and Speed variants. Three frame sizes: 45, 49 and 53cm.

FAQs

Yes — same motor options, same battery, same components and same performance. The only difference is the frame shape. The Mixte has a lowered top tube, making it easier to mount and dismount. Three frame sizes are available — 45, 49 and 53cm — compared to four on the standard Charger5.

The Touring has a Shimano 11-speed derailleur — traditional gear shifting, lighter weight, lower starting point. The Vario has an Enviolo continuously variable hub and Gates carbon belt drive — no derailleur, stepless shifting and virtually no mechanical maintenance. For daily commuting in London, the Vario is the one most of our customers choose.

The Charger5 Mixte comes in three frame sizes — 45, 49 and 53cm. As a guide: 45cm suits someone around 160–170cm, 49cm around 168–178cm, and 53cm around 175–185cm. These ranges overlap, so if you are between sizes, come in and we will fit you properly.
