Hiplok XL Loop-End Security Chain

The XL is a chain rather than a complete lock, and that is the point of it. You thread one end through the other to form a loop, pull it tight around the frame and whatever you are securing to, and close the loop with a D lock. It gives you a metre of locking length, which is what you want for a cargo bike, a longtail with a rear rack in the way, or two bikes at once in a hangar.

At 14mm the steel is heavy enough that this is a chain you leave where the bike lives rather than one you carry, and it carries a Sold Secure Pedal Cycle Diamond and Powered Cycle Gold rating. A toughened nylon sleeve keeps it off the paintwork.

Needs a D lock to close the loop. The XL pairs with Hiplok's D lock range, including the DX — but not with the D1000 or DX1000. If you are running a 1000 Series lock, the MEGA Chain is the one that fits. Ask us and we will sort it out with you.
