A lock is only ever as good as the thing you lock to, which is the problem the ANKR solves. It is a hardened steel anchor that fixes to a concrete or masonry wall or floor, indoors or out, giving you a fixed point in a side return, shed, garage or bike store where there was not one before.

The three-part design is the practical detail. It goes in quickly with the supplied security fixings, and it can be moved if you change how you store your bikes — useful in rented flats and shared bike stores, where a permanent installation is not always yours to make. A rubberised cap keeps the frame and paintwork off bare steel.

The rating depends on the substrate — brick, block, concrete or stone. Fixed to wood, it does not hold.
