Brompton Electric P Line

The Electric P Line is the lightest electric Brompton in our range. A titanium rear frame and carbon fork bring it to 16 kg with the battery, or 12.5 kg without, and the e-Motiq system adds up to 90 km of assistance on a charge. The fold is unchanged; there's simply less to lift.

At a glance

Titanium at the rear, carbon at the front, and the full e-Motiq system in between. The carbon fork and new handlebar support double the bike's stiffness, and the roller rack comes fitted, so the folded bike rolls on four wheels. Superlight quick-release pedals, a Superlight saddle, ergonomic grips and 4-speed gearing complete the build.

Who it's for

Most Brompton journeys include a stretch where the bike is carried. The Electric P Line makes that stretch easier: it’s 1.5 kg lighter than the all-steel Electric C Line, and you feel the difference on stairs and station platforms. It rides a little smoother, too. If your bike is rolled more than it’s lifted, the C Line will suit you just as well.

Build & technology

The weight saving comes from the frame: a titanium rear frame and a carbon fork, which also give a smoother ride feel than steel. The e-Motiq system is common to the whole electric range — a rear hub motor with a torque sensor, three assist modes and a removable 345 Wh battery that charges on or off the bike. The controller updates through the app and learns your riding over the first 100 km, so its range predictions get more accurate the more you use it. The whole system is independently certified to UL2849.
