Frequently asked questions

Are these genuine Riese & Müller accessories?

Yes — everything in this collection is made by Riese & Müller for their own bikes, engineered to fit a specific model rather than adapted from a universal part. That matters on cargo and family bikes, where the child seats, covers and boxes are designed around each frame.

Will an accessory from one Riese & Müller fit another model?

Usually not. Riese & Müller build most kits around a specific model — a Load5 cover won’t fit a Packster, and a Multicharger passenger kit is different again. Some smaller parts are shared, but it’s always worth checking before you order. Each model has its own accessory page, or you can ask us.

Can you fit the accessories for me?

Yes. We fit accessories in our own workshops across Camden, Notting Hill and Hackney, so your child seats, covers or cargo kit are set up properly and safely rather than left in a box. Buy the bike and the accessories together and we’ll have it ready to ride.

Can I add accessories through Cycle to Work?

Often, yes — most schemes let you include accessories bought at the same time as the bike, up to your employer’s limit. Child seats, covers and safety kit usually qualify. There’s more on our Cycle to Work Scheme page.

Do you keep these in stock, or are they ordered in?

It varies. We hold the popular kits — child seats and common covers — but some of the more specific parts are ordered in to suit your bike. Tell us what you’re after and we’ll confirm availability and timing.

Which accessories do I actually need?

It depends on what you’re carrying and when. For children, start with the right seat or family kit for your model and add weather protection for winter; for cargo, it’s about the box or cover that suits your loads. Tell us how you’ll use the bike and we’ll help you spec a setup that works — without buying things you won’t use.
