Riese and Müller UBN Seven

The UBN Seven is the UBN Five with a lowered top tube — the same Fazua Ride 60 drive, the same starting weight from 18.5kg, the same integrated GPS and alarm, in a frame that is easier to mount and dismount without being a full step-through. It comes in Pure White and Rose, in Touring, Silent and Vario variants. For anyone who wants the UBN character with a slightly more accessible frame shape, it is the natural choice.

Who it’s for

The UBN Seven suits city riders who want something light and quick but value being able to step on and off easily — at busy junctions, with a bag over one shoulder, or in clothes that don't suit a high crossbar. It is a natural fit for anyone easing back into regular cycling, and for two people of different heights sharing one bike. In the UBN range it sits neatly between the diamond-framed Five and the full step-through UBN Six: more accessible than the Five, sportier than the Six.

Build & technology

The Fazua Ride 60 motor delivers 60Nm of torque, integrated cleanly into the frame alongside a 480Wh removable battery. The lowered top tube sits at 30–34cm depending on frame size, giving a meaningfully lower step-over than the UBN Five without the full low-entry geometry of the UBN Six. Supernova Mini2 lighting, integrated RX Chip with GPS tracking and digital alarm, and Gates carbon belt drive on the Silent and Vario variants. Available in Touring (Shimano Deore 11-speed), Silent (Shimano Alfine 8-speed, belt) and Vario (Enviolo continuous hub, belt). Suspension fork optional. Three frame sizes: 45, 51 and 57cm, in Pure White and Rose.

FAQs

One difference: frame shape. The UBN Seven has a lowered top tube, making it easier to get on and off. Everything else — motor, battery, weight, variants, components — is the same. If mounting and dismounting matters to you, the Seven. If it does not, the Five.

The Seven has a lowered top tube — lower than a standard diamond frame but not a full step-through. The Six is a full step-through with a significantly lower stand-over height, wider 50mm tyres and a more comfort-oriented character. The Seven is sportier; the Six is more relaxed. Both use the same Fazua drive.

Yes — the RX Chip is standard across all UBN models. It connects via the RX Connect app for GPS location, digital alarm, and automatic ride recording. The first year of ConnectRide service is included for free.
